Police Verification Certificate:

If any Expatriate Bangladeshi citizen needs police clearance certificate, the person can obtain the police clearance certificate in two ways:

A. If any person needs police clearance certificate from Bangladesh very urgently, the person can apply to the concerned police station in Bangladesh at own responsibility or on behalf of expatriate Bangladeshi the person's relative can also submit applications to the concern police station with necessary fee of taka 500/=. It is recommended that applications along wth a copy of passport and photograph are duly attested by the High Commission before submitting to the police station. After obtaining the police clearance certificate, it should be attested by Bangladesh Foreign Ministry in Dhaka and by the High Commission for presenting before a UK/foreign authority. OR

B. The person can submit the application for police clearance to the High Commission with necessary fee (pound £ 3). The High Commission sends application to the police head quarter in Dhaka. Police Head Quarter sends it to the concerned police station. The police station after necessary verification issues police clearance certificate for the person and forwards it to the concern police super. Police super counter signs the certificate and forwards it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dhaka. Ministry of Foreign Affairs legalizes the certificate and then forward it to the high Commission to send it to its recipient.

Birth/Death Registration Certificate:

Requirements for Birth Certificate:

a. Applicant's Detailed Birth Certificate issued by local authorities;

b. Applicant's or Parent's Bangladesh passport;

c. Filled up Birth Registration application Form;

d. 2(two) passport size photograph;

e. Fee (Non-refundable): £ 3.00.

Requirements for Death Certificate:

a. Passport of the deceased person;

b. 2(two) passport size photographs;

c. Death/Medical certificate issued by local health authorities;

d. Fee: £ 3.00.

Marital Status Certificate:

If any Expatriate Bangladeshi citizen needs marital status certificate, the person can apply to the concerned deputy commissioner office in Bangladesh through this High Commission. High Commission forwards the application to the deputy commissioner office. After necessary verification deputy commissioner office issues marital status certificate for the person and forwards to the Ministry of Foreign Affaires Dhaka for authentication. Ministry of Foreign Affairs after authentication sends the certificate to the High Commission. High Commission attested the and forwards it to the recipient.

Marital status certificates can also be obtained through the office of Deputy Commissioner (DC) of concerned district in Bangladesh at own responsibility of on behalf expatriate Bangladeshi the persons relatives can also submit application to the concern deputy commissioner with necessary fees.

Sponsorship Certificate:

1. Sponsorship application form can be downloaded here.

2. Requirements:

a. Applicant's presence is necessary

b. Filled up application form.

c. One copy of photograph of the person who is going to be sponsored.

d. Valid passport of the sponsor.

3. Fee (Non-refundable) : £5

4. Delivery time : Same day after one hour of submission.

Service by post:

1. Send all relevant documents as mentioned for different consular services

2. Postal order/Bank Draft payable to Bangladesh High Commission, London.( No Cheque Acceptable). For postal service payment is not refundable.

3. Applicants are requested to provide necessary contact number in the application form. This helps consular services to meet necessary query from to the individual , should there is any others individual's submission of application form.

4. Self Addressed next day delivery special service envelop for U.K/Postal cost should be enclosed with separate Postal Order/Bank Draft for Ireland.

7. By Post services required extra seven (7) working days from the date of received.
