Guidance for visa application

How to apply: Application must be filed in duplicate along with 3 copies of recent passport size photographs. Passport is needed. Photocopy of application form or form downloaded from the Internet will be accepted provided it contains all the information as printed in the original form.

Requirements of Visa :

Business Visa: A letter from any business organization in UK endorsing the eligibility of the applicant and letter of invitation from Bangladeshi organization mentioning the applicant's name and passport number should be furnished with the visa application form.

Tourist visa: 1. Hotel Booking Confirmation is required at the time of apply. The consular officer may seek required inviatation letter if it seems necessary.

NGO Visa: (1) A letter from concern NG0 office in UK (2) A letter from concern NGO office in Bangladesh. (3) Sanctioned letter from NGO bureau in Bangladesh.

Journalist Visa : It is requested that when a Journalist or media personality will approach the Visa Section for Bangladesh Visa, the applicant may be referred to the Press Section or the Visa Official concerned may ask the applicant for the following :- 1) Support letter from his organization desiring the purpose of him visit. And other documents for which the Press Section will be in a position to guide. Please note that we need to have at least 14 days to clear the Visa case of the journalists (J.Visa)

Employment Visa: (1)A letter from employer (2) Sanctioned letter from relevant Ministry or Board of Investment, or Export processing Zone

Official Visa : Note Verbal or official letter from concern office

Student visa: (1)A letter from concern institution certifying the admission.(2) Bank statement
For any other category of visa relevant supporting papers should be submitted along with the visa application form.

Visa Processing : At least three (3) Working days

NB: Visa fee varied about category & Duration of visa, so please contact (attache consular) before sending by post

Note:

Documentary evidence of identification in support of profession is a must.
Incomplete application form or application with incorrect information/insufficient supporting papers will be rejected without citing any reason.

.Type of visa and duration of stay:

· Tourist Visa-Maximum stay 2 Month.

· Business Visa 6 Month.

Please pay the visa fees by Debit/Credit card at the counter of the consular of Bangladesh High Commission. Those who are applying by mail are advised to send postal order / bank draft payable to BHC, a stamped self addressed recorded delivery envelope and other necessary documents along with the application.

Receipt of application:
    10.00AM to 01.00PM (Monday-Thursday)
    10.00AM to 12.45PM (Friday)

Delivery of passport:
       10:00AM to 1:00PM (Collection for Foreign Visa)

2. Postal order/Bank draft payable to Bangladesh High Commission. (No Cheque Accepted)
3. Self Addressed recorded delivery envelop or postal cost should be enclosed
