20th Bangladesh Apparel & Textile Exposition (BATEXPO-2009) to be held from November 05 - 07, 2009 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) is going to organise Bangladesh Apparel & Textile Exposition (BATEXPO-2009) from November 05 - 07, 2009 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

A good members of leading manufacturers of ready-made garments (knit, woven and sweater) will showcase a wide range of products in the exposition. Apart from that a good number of garment fabrics and accessories producers will also display their products in the expo. At the same time it will give a unique opportunity for the apparel traders to see under a single roof what the Bangladeshi manufacturers and exporters of ready-made garments and textile can offer. It is to be noted that Bangladeshi products enjoy duty and quota free access to EU countries under EBA (Everything But Arms) initiatives of European Union. So the ready-made garments buyers from United Kingdom will find it worthy and interesting to visit the event. It may be mentioned that 3347 foreign and local buyers visited last years expo (BATEXPO-2008) and spot order from the show was US$ 55.45 million.

Honorable Prime Minister, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the Bangladesh Apparel & Textile Exposition (BATEXPO-2009) as the Chief Guest.

Admission of Foreign nationals for Academic Session 2008-2009 in BUET, Dhaka

Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Dhaka has invited application from Foreign Nationals for admission in the undergraduate courses for academic session 2008-2009. The total number of seats for foreign students in the undergraduate level in a single academic session is 26 (twenty six).The last date of submission of application is 20 February 2009. Candidates must have passed higher secondary or GCE A level examination or its equivalent examination from a foreign education board with the minimum of "B" grades in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, to earn eligibility for application.
